From the beginning of the 16th century in Loches, many buildings emerged from the ground, based on new structures and forms. Coming from Italy, the architectural register of the Renaissance, still little known in France, developed in Loches at an early age. During this period, the city was a permanent site with the construction of the town hall, the Saint-Antoine tower and many private mansions.

Through this exhibition at the Chancellery, let yourself be surprised by these monuments, witnesses of the presence of pioneering architects in this small town in the Val de Loire 500 years ago.
