A scientific conference dedicated to the work and life of Gaspard II de Coligny, Admiral of France, born 500 years ago in Châtillon-sur-Loing.
The best specialists will come to talk to us about the role of Gaspard II de Coligny as head of the French Huguenots. They will put Gaspard II back in his time, that of religious wars and noble conflicts. Finally, they will show us how painters and writers took over his life and death on Saint Bartholomew’s Day to make him the hero and martyr of the Protestant cause.
