Most of them destroyed in 1940, there are few archives left of the City of Orléans before 1790.
Those that remain are all the more precious and prestigious. To highlight and celebrate the 500 years of the Renaissance, the Archives d’Orléans is launching the online publication of its old collections, including city and fortress accounts. The conference, which will present the history of this digitized collection, will also provide an opportunity to discuss the policy implemented since 2011 to put Orléans’ municipal archives into digital perspective.
