The year 2019 will be marked in the Centre-Val-de-Loire region by the 500th anniversary of RenaissanceS. On this occasion, the Association des Parcs et Jardins en Région Centre-Val de Loire is organising a conference on the theme of boxwood and the rebirth of gardens on Thursday 14 March 2019 at the Centre de Conférences d'Orléans.

An emblematic figure in many gardens, boxwood has been under attack from pests and diseases in recent years. The problem of boxwood diseases is nowadays a topical issue that worries both owners and managers of estates, professionals and garden lovers alike.

In order to address this subject, the Association des Parcs et Jardins en région Centre-Val de Loire is organising a one-day conference open to all on Thursday 14 March 2019 in the large auditorium of the Centre de Conférences d’Orléans.

The purpose of this conference is to report on the latest scientific advances in the fight against the decline of boxwood, but also to initiate a debate and avenues for reflection on the future of our gardens.

For the future, it will require boldness and creativity to redesign, recompose and reinvent gardens. A real challenge to be taken up and will be addressed during the conference.
