30 minutes to discover a site or a Renaissance work in Bourges
Saint-Etienne Cathedral is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. But it is also a Renaissance building: following the fall of the North Tower on December 31, 1506, the northern part of the West facade and the tower were rebuilt from 1508 to 1542. This reconstruction was one of the largest religious architectural projects of the 16th century in France, led by renowned artists Guillaume Pelvoysin, Colin Biart, Marsault Paule, Nicolas Poyson and Pierre Biart.
